Audition Info
Magical Starlight Theatre will hold auditions for Seussical on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at 305 W. Jackson Avenue at the northwest corner of Eagle and Jackson Streets in Naperville (enter from upper level). Auditions for youth under age 16 will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and auditions for actors 16 and older will be 2:30-4 p.m. both days. Youth must be in fourth grade or higher. Call backs, if necessary will be held on Monday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m.
Youth and adults are asked to prepare an up-tempo song highlighting their vocal range. All auditioning should bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. There will be a general movement audition and cold reading from the script. There will be a dance audition as well, come prepared to move.
All performances are mandatory. Ten performances will be presented: January 13-15 and 20-22, 2017. Performances are at Naperville Central High School Auditorium. Friday performances are 7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday performances are 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm. Rehearsals will generally be scheduled for Sunday afternoons, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
